In 2006, Rex Surgery Center underwent a $32 million renovation - the largest construction project at Rex Hospital in two decades. This investment transformed the facility into the only hospital with state-of-the-art, fully-functional digital operating rooms in Wake County. In fact, Rex now offers the best surgical technology and capabilities in the southeastern United States.

According to patient satisfaction polls, our surgery patients are extremely satisfied with our care, our services and our surgical options. In fact, 99% of the patients surveyed were so pleased with their care at Rex, they said they would recommend us to their friends. If you are scheduled for a pre-testing visit, you will find our Preoperative Planning Center conveniently located near the hospital Main Entrance. If you aren't scheduled for a pre-testing visit, you may receive a pre-operative screening phone call. Both processes are designed to provide you with an opportunity to participate in your individualized plan of care.
