REX Hematology Oncology Associates of Garner Welcomes Dr. Julia Rauch

Expert Team of Cancer and Blood Disorder Specialists Offers Accessible Care for Triangle Patients

Dr. Julia RouchRALEIGH, N.C. – REX Hematology Oncology Associates of Garner, part of UNC REX Cancer Care, is pleased to welcome Dr. Julia Rauch to the practice. REX Hematology Oncology Associates specializes in treating cancer and blood disorders at five convenient locations across Wake County: Blue Ridge, Cary, Garner, Raleigh and Wakefield.

At the Garner location, Dr. Rauch will focus on breast, genitourinary and gynecologic cancers.

“We are excited to see our team of specialists in Garner grow to provide convenient care to the residents of southern Wake County and the surrounding areas,” said Tom Grates, Executive Director of UNC REX Cancer Care. “We know Dr. Rauch will be a valuable addition to our team with her background and training in hematology, oncology and internal medicine.”

Dr. Rauch earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She completed residency training at University of North Carolina Hospitals in internal medicine, in which she is now board certified. She is also currently completing fellowship training in hematology and oncology at University of North Carolina Hospitals.

Dr. Rauch gained experience practicing as an internal medicine hospitalist at UNC REX Healthcare before beginning her fellowship training in hematology and oncology.

“Having been a hospitalist at UNC REX, I am familiar with UNC REX’s high quality of medical care, and it is such a welcoming place to work,” Dr. Rauch said. “I was fortunate enough to work with REX Hematology and Oncology physicians during my fellowship training and was impressed with their commitment to patient care while providing top cancer care. Naturally, I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to join them.”
