Rex Pulmonary Specialists Welcomes New Pulmonologist, Opens New Cary Clinic
Dr. Hiren Mehta Joins Team of Specialists to Offer Convenient Pulmonary Care for Patients
RALEIGH, N.C. – Rex Pulmonary Specialists continues to expand in depth and breadth of practice with a new, convenient location in the Triangle. The team welcomes Dr. Hiren Mehta and is proud to announce the opening of a new clinic in Cary. The clinic opens Nov. 9 and is located at 300 Ashville Ave, Suite 301.
“I’m excited about the addition of our new pulmonologists and our new Cary clinic,” said Dr. William Hall, Medical Director of Rex Pulmonary Specialists. “Our patients in the Cary area can now experience the convenience of having their pulmonary care closer to home with access to all that UNC REX Healthcare has to offer.”
The new location in Cary features the most recent additions to the team, Dr. Sanjay Dhar and Dr. Hiren Mehta. Dr. Dhar and Dr. Mehta combine their expertise, compassion and experience to focus on patients’ comprehensive pulmonary needs, offering treatments for a wide variety of lung conditions, including Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Asthma, chronic cough and more.
Dr. Mehta earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics followed by a Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship at Vidant Medical Center, the primary teaching hospital for East Carolina University's Brody School of Medicine in Greenville, N.C.
Dr. Dhar joined Rex Pulmonary Specialists from the Wake Forest School of Medicine, where he served as the Director of Critical Care, Ultrasound Pulmonary and Critical Care, Fellowship Program and an attending physician and associate professor of medicine. Rex Pulmonary Specialists approach treatment with the highest level of compassion to deliver comprehensive care to their patients, working collaboratively with REX Thoracic Specialists and UNC REX Cancer Care to address any pulmonary problem.
