Dr. Sanjay Dhar to Join Rex Pulmonary Specialists
Knowledgeable Team of Specialists Offers Comprehensive Pulmonary Care and Treatment
RALEIGH, N.C. – Rex Pulmonary Specialists is pleased to welcome fellowship-trained pulmonologist Dr. Sanjay Dhar to its expert team of specialists on Sept. 28. Dr. Dhar will focus on the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of lung conditions.
“We know Dr. Dhar will be a valuable asset to our team with his extensive experience in pulmonary, internal and critical care medicine,” said Dr. William Hall, Medical Director of Rex Pulmonary Specialists.
Dr. Dhar joins Rex Pulmonary Specialists from Wake Forest Baptist Health, where he served as the Director of Critical Care, Ultrasound Pulmonary and Critical Care, Fellowship Program and an attending physician and associate professor of medicine.
Prior to his tenure at Wake Forest, Dr. Dhar practiced as an attending physician at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in New York and Mountrail County Medical Center in Stanley, N.D. He also held academic appointments at the Weill Cornell Medical College and the University of North Dakota Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Dhar received his undergraduate degree from Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College in Indore, India, where he completed a rotatory internship at Maharaja Yashwant Rao Group of Hospitals. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in New York. He went on to complete a Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, as well as a Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

Rex Pulmonary Specialists strives to deliver compassionate care for patients with a variety of lung conditions, while working in partnership with Rex Thoracic Specialists and the Rex Cancer Center to provide medical and surgical support for all pulmonary patients. Rex Pulmonary Specialists is excited to announce the move to a new location. Effective September 21, 2015, the office is located at 4414 Lake Boone Trail, Suite 402. The new location, which is a larger space, equips the office to provide onsite Pulmonary Function Testing (PFTs) and other testing as an added convenience.
