Two dozen UNC REX Healthcare Physicians have earned a 5-STAR award from PRC

RALEIGH, N.C. – Two dozen physicians employed by UNC REX Healthcare have earned a top 5-STAR award from Professional Research Consultants, a third party company that surveys patients about their health care experiences. The ranking puts the UNC REX employed physicians in the top 10th percentile in the national PRC database.

“Congratulations to these physicians who were recognized by their patients for excellent service and care,” said Steve Burriss, president of UNC REX. “All of these doctors are dedicated to improving the health of our community, with these awards being proof of their hard work.”

PRC collected data on these physicians by contacting patients after their visits by phone and asking them to answer a single question. This question was, “using any number from ‘0’ to ‘10’, where ‘0’ is the ‘worst provider possible’ and ‘10’ is the ‘best provider possible, what number would you use to rate this provider?”  Each of these physicians received 9 or 10’s with each physician having at least 45 surveys completed.
