UNC REX Healthcare Wins Top Consumer Choice Award from National Research Corporation
UNC REX is Top Hospital in Wake County for 12th Consecutive Year
RALEIGH, N.C. – UNC REX Healthcare has earned the top honor from consumers in Wake County for its reputation of providing the highest quality care. It’s the 12th consecutive year that Rex has been honored with the annual Consumer Choice Award from National Research Corporation, which identifies hospitals in markets across the United States that consumers say have the highest quality and image, and the best physicians and nurses.
“We are proud to be recognized for our focus on providing the best care for all patients and their families,” said Steve Burriss, president of UNC REX. “We are lucky to live in a region where consumers have outstanding choices for health care, and we’re honored that so many people choose UNC REX for their medical needs.”
Winners are determined by consumer perceptions on multiple quality and image ratings collected in National Research’s Market Insights survey, the largest online consumer healthcare survey in the country. National Research surveys more than 300,000 households in the contiguous 48 states and the District of Columbia. Hospitals named by consumers are analyzed and ranked based on Core Based Statistical Areas defined by the U.S. Census Bureau, with winning facilities being ranked the highest.
This year marks the 21st anniversary of the Consumer Choice Award celebrating the power of a strong brand image in healthcare.
“For each of the past 21 years, winning hospitals have provided outstanding experiences that have transcended their four walls to drive consumer preference, trust and loyalty in their markets,” said Brian Wynne, Market Insights General Manager at National Research. “We are honored to congratulate this year’s winners on a job well done.”
