UNC REX Healthcare presents run/walk to end prostate cancer

The inaugural Zero – The End of Prostate Cancer run/walk in Raleigh takes place at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, June 24.

RALEIGH, NC – UNC REX Healthcare is proud to serve as the presenting sponsor of the inaugural Zero – The End of Prostate Cancer run/walk in Raleigh.

The event features a 5K run/walk, a 1-mile walk and a “kids’ superhero dash for dad.” The race is 7:45 a.m. Saturday, June 24, at the Associated Urologists of North Carolina, 3821 Ed Drive, Raleigh. Stick around after the race for a family-friendly celebration. Participants will receive T-shirts, free food, and have the opportunity to connect with others impacted by prostate cancer.

The race benefits Zero – The End of Prostate Cancer, a national nonprofit that advances research. According to organizers, funds raised will be invested across the country to provide free prostate cancer screenings, education, and invest in research for new potential treatments for prostate cancer, which affects more than 160,000 men in the U.S. every year, according to the American Cancer Society.
