UNC REX Cancer Care to Honor Cancer Survivors with Celebration

RALEIGH, N.C. – UNC REX Cancer Care will honor cancer survivors and their families with its 28th annual National Cancer Survivors Day Celebration on Sunday, June 4. Cancer survivors in the Triangle will gather to reconnect with their physicians, nurses and other caregivers, and celebrate with loved ones.

Cancer Survivors Day is recognized each year in locations worldwide on the first Sunday in June. On this day, thousands of people gather with their communities to celebrate and show the world there is life after a cancer diagnosis. At UNC REX, the free, family-friendly event will include food, games, inflatables and musical entertainment by The Embers featuring Craig Woolard. There will also be a dessert truck rodeo with desserts from Not Just Icing, Dusty Mini Donuts, and Captain Cookie.

WHO:

Attendees will include cancer survivors, their families and friends, UNC REX Cancer Care oncologists, nurses and other caregivers.
