New 50-bed community hospital to serve fast-growing region, scheduled to open in 2021
WHAT:
UNC REX Healthcare is ready to break ground on its new Holly Springs hospital, a much-needed addition to a fast-growing community. The new 7-story, 50-bed hospital will be built on UNC REX’s Holly Springs campus at 781 Avent Ferry Road, and is expected to open in 2021. Join UNC Health Care leaders, physicians, elected officials and others for a groundbreaking ceremony to kick off construction.

WHY:
UNC REX is building a 50-bed community hospital to better care for patients in Holly Springs and southern Wake County. UNC REX opened its Holly Springs campus in 2012 to improve access to medical care, closer to home. The full-service hospital will continue that mission with a 24/7 Emergency Department, Labor & Delivery, operating rooms for a wide range of surgeries, inpatient beds and more.
