Quality Care
Our first priority is to provide our patients and their families with the highest quality of care. We are proud to show how we compare to other hospitals and what we're doing to constantly improve our overall quality of care.
Speak Up
This program gives simple advice on how you can help make health care a good experience. Research shows that patients who take part in decisions about their own health care are more likely to get better faster. To help prevent health care mistakes, patients are urged to "Speak Up."
A note for people concerned about Meningitis Associated with Compounded Methylprednisolone UNC Health Care has not purchased any products (including incriminated lots) from New England Compounding Center in Framingham, MA., although other health care providers in NC have used the product and providers at UNC may either see patients who have received the recalled lots or be asked to provide a medical evaluation of injected patients. ***UNC Health Care and UNC Health Rex pharmacies DO NOT purchase compounded medications from the recalled product supplier.***
Patient Satisfaction Surveys
Because quality goes beyond measuring clinical care, we feel it is important to know how our patients feel about their care. Excellent quality and service are top priorities and our patient satisfaction scores rank among the highest in the nation. By participating in a program that compares our patient feedback to national data, we can improve our overall quality of care.
UNC Health Rex's utilization of Press Ganey and Hospital Consumer Assessment of Health Care Provider Systems (HCAHPS) is driven by our mission to provide excellent care for patients and their families. We strive to ensure patients and their loved ones experience this high quality of care whenever care for them. UNC Health Rex raises the bar on patient satisfaction and quality standards by simultaneously conducting the PRC survey and the HCAHPS survey.
UNC Health Rex commissions Professional Research Consultants (PRC) to measure patient satisfaction through one of the highest patient satisfaction survey benchmarks.
