2022 Community Health Needs Assessment
Every three to four years, Wake County conducts a comprehensive community examination thorough the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) process. Working with the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, community health needs and resources were determined using information collected from primary data, citizen opinion surveys, community leaders and focus groups, as well as, secondary statistical data.
The 2022 CHNA was a collaborative effort between UNC REX Healthcare, WakeMed Health and Hospitals, Duke Raleigh Hospital, Wake County Human Services and non-profit partners including Alliance Behavioral Health and United Way of the Greater Triangle under the leadership of co-chairs, Wake County Commissioner Sig Hutchinson and Ashton Mae Smith of Citrix.
