UNC REX Food Pantry

The UNC REX Food Pantry supports patients and their families who may be struggling with access to healthy foods. Patients are asked simple questions by a member of the UNC REX case management team, as a way to assess need. For these patients, a few days' supply of food can be a valuable contributor to good recovery and can be a welcome support for families dealing with the stresses of a hospital stay.

Located near the hospital main entrance and across from the REX Pharmacy, the UNC REX Food Pantry operates Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. to help fill the needs of UNC REX Healthcare patients.

The UNC REX Food Pantry is a partnership between UNC REX, Food Lion and the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC and is operated by UNC REX volunteers.

Help Stock the Pantry during the COVID-19 Pandemic

We are currently accepting donations for the REX Food Pantry. Delivery of items are accepted Monday- Friday from 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM, curbside only at our Main Entrance off of Lake Boone Trail. Pull your car up to the main entrance and call 919-784-6278. DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR CAR. A volunteer will come to your car to retrieve the items.
